When I decided to buy 1285 Restobar, which had been serving pizza since 1985, I saw it as an opportunity. The experience of living and raising my family for 35 years in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood, the heart of San Francisco-style Italian culture, left an indelible imprint on my world. I wanted to create that culture here, on the Siuslaw river in Old Town Florence.

 Trattoria, which means café in Italian, encapsulates my dream for 1285 Restobar. I had the opportunity to study trattorias and pizzerias in Naples during the year I was remodeling, and I was taken with the wonderful mix of sophistication and warm family-friendly atmosphere I found in the trattorias there. That coupled with healthful, local, organic dining are the heart of my inspiration. I invite you to come and discover true San Francisco-style Italian cooking and culture here at1285 Restobar.

We feature

Italian chefs will tell you, no pizza is complete without the San Marzano tomato, and we would heartily agree. We offer a variety of Campania region-inspired dishes and a tasty selection of hand made pizza using the San Marzano tomato along with a variety of locally-grown, organic ingredients.

On our menu, you'll find vegetarian and non-vegetarian selections as well as some gluten-free dishes to delight your taste buds in the way only good Southern Italian cooking can. We use fresh, locally-grown, organic produce, free-range and organic meats, hand-made sausages, all of the finest quality available. Pair with that a drink from our beer and wine menu, featuring local microbrews, imports on tap, and a selection of local and regional Italian wines, and you'll be deeply satisfied.

Great Atmosphere

Outdoor seating is available café-style in view of the Siuslaw River and Florence bridge. For a more romantic, quiet outdoor setting, tables are available on our newly remodeled back patio in the shade of our cherry tree. Inside, we offer river view dining as well as seating in the cozy, warm ambience of our full-service bar featuring premium wines, contemporary and classic cocktails, and locally brewed beer.
